HiFest will host a day full of fun, family-friendly workshops to participate in – led by a number of leading illustration professionals. All workshops are free with materials provided.

Grab your pens and pencils and join Mel Elliot and her giant “coluring-in table cloth.” Packed with pop-culture icons from her smash-hit colouring book collection Colour Me Good.

Join the wonderful Gemma Correll and her merry band of misfits for a fun (and pun) packed Christmas card making workshop.
‘LET’S MAKE A COLLAGE BOOKLET’ (2pm)
with Martin O’Neill & Paul Burgess
Choose a quote from the selection provided by Martin and Paul. Think about how you might use this quote as the basis for a booklet featuring a series of collages. Using two A3 sheets of paper and a long-arm stapler, fold them into a six page A4 stapled booklet and construct a series of collages in response to your chosen quote.
‘ONE STROKE ANIMALS’ (3PM)
with Sarah Maycock
Collaborate with Sarah to make a gestural inky animal, with the aim of doing it in just one single brush stroke.
