This year HiFest will host a number of talks, panels, Q&A’s and screenings with some of the industry’s leading practitioners. Talks are free to attend, for all ticket holders. (Please note our talks fill up fast, so please arrive early, to avoid disappointment!)

‘FESTIVAL FOLK’ – ROB FLOWERS (2PM)
To celebrate to release of first book, ‘Festival Folk’ Rob Flowers will be talking about his work, his life long interest in costume and dressing up, some of his favourite Festivals and the process of making the book. There will also be the opportunity to pick up signed copy of Festival Folk as well as some other special goodies, exclusive to HiFest!
‘GIRLS THAT DRAW’ (4PM)
Our hugely popular panel talk returns! Nina Cosford once again leads an intriguing, insightful and inspiring discussion with a select group of top, professional female illustrators, exploring the ups and downs of working in the illustration industry and how their own identities and narratives feed into their work.

‘ADVENT CALENDAR PROJECT’ – MR. BINGO (1.30PM)
The enigmatic and hilarious Mr Bingo will be talking about his annual Advent Calendar project and how 400 people applied to take their clothes of in a pub in the name of art! (Please note this talk contains adult content, which may be unsuitable for some viewers.)
